Louis' X Factor contest

This normally occurs over lunch on the excursion day. It is a loose interpretation of the 2008-2010 format of the X Factor TV series. Four Colonel's men are selected at random to play the roles of Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dermot O'Leary; the remainder play members of the studio audience. Dermot also gets a vote as an audience member (note this may differ from the real format)

Special rules when few men are available

When only 4 Colonel's men are available, all 4 get a vote as an audience member. When this happens, judges tend to vote for their protégées, although Rupert (Louis) did once vote against his because he felt sorry for Steve (Simon).

Interaction with Gløgg

If Gløgg bums Louis, he loses his destination. All that palaver was for nothing.

If Louis is helped, the runner-up of the contest is additionally entered into the draw as "Gløgg's choice".
