Shaft's shaft round

Shaft's shaft round is part of the draw. The destinations chosen by all of the absent Colonel's Men along with the mascots who hold destinations (plus Kurt's veto and Gløgg's bum if Gløgg bums a destination) are hatted together with twice as many blank pieces of paper, giving a one in three chance that a destination will be pulled out. If a destination is pulled out, it is shafted and takes no further part in the draw.

If Gløgg bums Shaft, three times as many blank pieces of paper are used as destinations, reducing the chance to 1/4. If he helps him, only one set of blank pieces of paper is used, raising the chance to 1/2.

Shaft has shafted five destinations so far:

• Perpignan (Chris) in ⁶ Heidelberg
• Switzerland (Little Lucky Leprechaun) in ⁷ Barcelona
• Halifax (PC Bourne) in ¹⁴ Hanover
• Fiji (PC Bourne) in ¹⁶ Athens
• Stockholm (PC Bourne) in ²⁰ Bruges

If a destination has been vetoed, Shaft may also shaft Kurt's veto. When this happens, the previously vetoed destination is reintroduced into the draw as Shaft's choice. This has happened once so far:
