From the Colonel's Regiment

Hello men!

This site is a little more complicated than the old one, but you can now do all sorts of stuff.

See [[1] (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing)] for directions.

Links go in double square brackets, not single, and all diaries are on a single page. Links are case sensitive except for the first character, so be careful. I've already made a mistake by putting in Mike's Genoa Diary but A hunk of meat between two bits of bread. It should have been Mike's Genoa diary. I've been trying to Capitalize Categories but keep everything else lower case.

At the moment the only other important thing is categories. End all your diaries with something like

Have a look at the special page for a list of the categories, you can add your own just by linking them, though they won't list anything until you add some content to their own page.

Add comedy stuff (what?) to the relevant destination if they have one, and maybe add too... You only need link it once from the diary though. You can have a with text different from the link using a | symbol.

Upload photos down there in the toolbox, then insert them with .

Look at Special:Wantedpages to find pages which need writing.

Templates

Okay men, here are the template rules.

 1. Every destination that is nominated for the draw, or for the mentalist's choice, or for Schanaman's choice, should get a template with a flag: Fez = Image:22px-Flag_of_Morocco.svg.png Fez
 2. The template for destinations which have been the venue for missions is further dignified: Dublin = Image:22px-Flag_of_Ireland.svg.png Image:Colonel.png2 Dublin
 3. Templates are named for easy typing and never have accents or other funny characters. Gdansk = Image:22px-Flag_of_Poland.svg.png Image:Colonel.png11 Gdańsk
 4. Whenever you mention a city or country, use a template. If it doesn't exist, create it to contain only the name of the city. We can then come back and add a flag or a mission dignifier to the template, as becomes necessary.
 5. You shouldn't need to access country flags on their own but if you do, the templates are named after the 2 letter internet code like pt = Image:22px-Flag_of_Portugal.svg.png (as opposed to Portugal = Image:22px-Flag_of_Portugal.svg.png Portugal, which might be a LLL destination)
