Easegill Caverns

2007 July 30
An experiment in combining geographical and topological information. Each cave entrance is plotted in its true relative position; between entrances, basic information on connectivity, major junctions and sumps is provided, allowing you to get a feel for the current state of exploration without getting lost in the detail. (An impressive plan of the system is available from Inglesport in Ingleton; while you're there, treat yourself to a 6" chilli-filled Yorkshire pudding.) I'm not a caver, let alone a cave diver, and may have misunderstood some of the descriptions. If you are one of these, you know not to trust me.
