Of the vestymentes of a kynge.

It besemeth well to the mageste royall that the kynge be clothed honourably. And that he shewe hymselfe alway in fayre and royall clothes. And ought in beaute of robbes to surmount all other clothynge. Also he ought with grete prerogatyf & dygnyte use fayre, deere, & straunge vestures. For therby is his dygnyte more excellent and his myght more exalted. And more reverence is made to hym. And also it besemeth a kynge to be fayre spoken, with softe and kynde wordes, specyally in tyme of warre.
