Each cave entrance is plotted in its true relative position; between entrances, basic information on connectivity, major junctions and sumps is provided, allowing you to get a feel for the current state of exploration without getting lost in the detail. (An impressive hand-drawn full plan of the system is available from Inglesport in Ingleton. While you’re there, treat yourself to a 6” chilli-filled Yorkshire pudding.)
